Amazing for its design

We are building off grid on top of a mountain at 6,100' elevation in Montana. We've been living in tents with woodstoves for 9 months now, cooking on large propane burners, mostly. I am a retired restaurateur and cook. This thing rocks with some modifications! I embellished the tab connections with needle nose pliers to tighten. Slipped some tin foil in the top, back seam for the lid that gaps a bit, and purchased 2 fire bricks ($5 total) wrapped them in tin foil for any spills and placed them on the bottom of the oven for protection of bottom burning and give thermal mass to keep the oven constant.I then turned the tip of the door latch more inward for a tighter seal. I have baked everything I want to make....cookies, cakes, bread, biscuits, casseroles, roasted vegetables, meatloaf, pork tenderloin, whatever you want. I suppose it's usefulness will be determined by your heat source. It doesn't work on my flaming woodstove, needs a steady, controllable flame. We have a large outdoor propane stove that works well. Don't heat it up with super hot flame, will warp the sides and the tray won't hold. With my stove it takes 10 minutes to get to 350 degrees but the stove is rated to 30,000 BTUs, of course it's not on that high, more like a large birthday candle flame. Anyway, I love this thing! Enjoy.

What a world

I have used these but once and my goodness that thing was so cool! I wasnt sure what to exspect but we were able to cook a roasted meat and a cake outside was very fun!

Excellent portable convenient oven.

To start: this oven won’t be your consistent well working oven at home. The temperature regulation does require attention. And I have found items “bake” a little different. So I recommend using it a few times at home to get a feel for it to make adjustments to your process. Or just plan on needing to make adjustments while camping. With that said: I love this oven. I had one many years ago when I lived in a remote wilderness location and needed an oven for baking. I have since bought one for myself for camping and emergency baking at home. I find I need to monitor the temperature and adjust as needed. Also, the items I have cooked visually appear different when fully cooked. I burned a thing of corn bread the first time because it didn’t “look” fully cooked just by peaking in. So check more closely on your items. Also. Use the middle rack location. With this I have been able to get good corn bread and good rolls while camping. I also made some apple cinnamon muffins. Although it is not perfect and you have to monitor closely….I still five it 5 stars for portability and convenience and effectiveness once you get a system down. Oven is 12”x12”x12” when opened. 12”x”12x3 when folded shut. I use an 8x8 pan for cornbread. From back to door, 8” is about as big as you can go. Youprobably can do 8x10 max. Also. A smaller 6 cupcake pan works in here. And most bread loaf pans
