The lid seal doesn't last

I like how long this keeps the ice in it and keeps liquid cold. It will last for a few days if not left in the sun. I also like the locking lid and how easy it is to drink from it. 40 oz. is a lot of liquid so it will last me all day and sometimes two. The Stainless interior and painted exterior is durable. However, my wife has had this for less than a year. Last month the lid started leaking from the threads, indicating the seal is bad. Since it won't fit in a cup holder, it has to be laid down in a seat or a saddlebag in most cases, so leaking is obviously not good. Yesterday, she used the lid from my Avex (the company Coleman bought who originally made this product) and it does not leak. I have had my Avex 40 oz. bottle for almost 10 years now, and do not have any problems. Go figure. Seems like Coleman bought the company and is now using inferior parts. For a $60+ item, it should certainly last longer than this. I only paid about $30 for my Avex, if I remember right. So Coleman took the company, changed the parts apparently, and decided to charge double the price just to put the "Coleman" name on it. Always paying more for a name. Customer service told me it has a limited lifetime warranty and that Coleman will likely replace the whole bottle because of this. If that's the case, then I'm happy I created an account to track the purchase. :-)

Love this water bottle,Needs more colors and lids!

I love this water bottle but, yes I want replacement lids and now there is only 2 colors? I want to buy for my family but, with only 2 colors none of us will be able to tell which water bottle is ours! And I’m not putting stickers on them so they can get all gross when I wash them.

Expensive but almost perfect

Been using this water bottle before Coleman bought the design from AVEX. I can't find another water bottle that is all around as good as this. 99% of the time it doesn't leak, no matter what, but sometimes it leaks when water gets on the o-ring seal. Insulation is top notch. Not a fan of the paint Coleman uses, I'd rather it be stainless instead of the enamel like paint. The size is perfect in terms of volume but good luck getting this to fit in your cup holder! I'm lucky my vehicle has big cup holders but for most vehicles I just have to lock the spout and flip the lid so I can put it on the floor! The lid is the weakest link and will fail years before the main body of the bottle will fail. Coleman really needs to sell the tops separately... Especially because they're charging $60 now! That's ridiculous Coleman! These used to be much cheaper. That said, it's still the best water bottle I've ever found for someone who likes to be active and drink lots of water.

Favorite bottle! But one major deal breaker...

This is a very durable, heavy duty water bottle! I have never owned one like this amd I was very impressed. I would give it 5 stars but where are the replacement tops?! My free flow top will not close after a well needed washing and now I can't use my favorite water bottle! I have been searching the internet. I can't even find a *new* replacement top from the old manufacturer, Avix. COLEMAN we NEED replacement parts!!
